]]> Drug law reform organisation unharm have launched a campaign for the decriminalisation of cannabis in Victoria. Following discussion, the CBA Committee resolved to co-sign an open letter to Daniel Andrews in relation to the decriminalisation of cannabis. Other signatories include The Fitzroy Legal Service, Australian Lawyers Alliance, Youth Support and Advocacy Service, Victorian Alcohol and Drugs Association, and the Health and Community Services Union.

unharm have also recently finished the Cannabis Legislation Messaging Guide. unharm applied learnings from an international review of cannabis legalisation messaging to develop a cannabis legalisation message testing survey, which was tested on 1000 Victorians. Their testing found that in head-to-head message tests against opposition messages, pro-legalisation messages won every time. A copy of the Cannabis Legislation Messaging Guide is available in “Resources” in the members only section of the CBA website.
